Every device.One take.

SyncTake turns the iPhones and iPads your crew already owns into cameras, microphones, a digital slate, a director's monitor and a script station — all rolling together on one clock, all landing on your Mac, all lined up before you open your editor.

One clock

Call action once. Everything rolls.

Every device on the set shares one running clock and one scene, shot and take. Roll from any of them and they all start together; cut, and they all stop. Nobody claps twice, and nobody logs anything by hand.

Those four counters are driven by one clock, the same way a set is. Watch them as long as you like — they will not drift apart.

Nine stations

One app. Every job on set.

It is a single install. Each device opens the station it is doing today, and changes its mind whenever the shoot does.

Cam

Record picture with manual focus, lens choice, zebras and a histogram. 4K, or ProRes straight to an SSD.

Free

Mic

Production sound at 48 kHz and 24-bit. Slide to lock, drop it in a pocket, and it keeps rolling.

Free

Slate

Digital sticks. One tap marks every camera and every recorder on the set at the same instant.

Free

Script

Your screenplay on set. Import Fountain, Final Draft or PDF; the scene follows the shoot on every device.

Free

Schedule

The strip board. The 1st AD's running order, and every device knows what is up next.

Pro

Monitor

A wall of live camera feeds. Watch every angle while it records, on an iPad or on the Mac.

Pro

Log

The script supervisor's take log. Circle takes, add notes by voice or photo, and it is done by wrap.

Pro

Footage

Everything the set has shot, grouped by scene and take, playable in sync across every angle.

Pro

Studio

The Mac hub. It holds the set, takes delivery of every file, and hands the day to your editor.

Desktop

After the take

It lands where you edit.

The part that usually eats a day. SyncTake does it while you are still shooting.

On set

Every take carries its own slate.

Scene, shot, take, roll, the mark and the timecode are written into the file as it records — not typed into a spreadsheet afterwards by somebody squinting at a clapperboard.

Over Wi-Fi

Files walk themselves to the Mac.

As each take finishes, the phones and iPads hand it to the studio hub over the set's own network. No cables, no card wrangling, and the original stays on the device until its copy has arrived.

In the edit

Angles arrive already lined up.

The hub exports a timeline for DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut with each take as one clip and every angle trimmed to match. You open it and start cutting.

Where it is

What we will and won't claim yet.

SyncTake is in closed beta and built by a very small team. Here is the honest state of it, because you are going to point this at a day you cannot reshoot.

Working now

  • Roll and cut from any device; every camera and recorder starts together
  • One tap on the slate marks every device on the set at once
  • Screenplay and shooting schedule shared to every screen
  • Takes offload to the Mac over the set's own Wi-Fi
  • Multi-angle review, and a timeline out to Resolve and Final Cut

Still being sharpened

  • Sync lands within a few frames today. We are chasing 12 ms, because that is where a slap stops being audible — and every take is measured, so you can see what you actually got
  • The Apple Watch remote is built but has not earned a shoot yet
  • An iPad cannot be the hub yet; that job needs a Mac

Not built yet

  • Cloud sharing, and a web mirror of the production
  • Paid plans — the beta is free, and nobody is charged during it
